Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. This role brought her an Emmy nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category and she also was awarded two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by an ensemble comedy.
Her family was based in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna saw her mother, Anne, perform in performances at church while she was a child, which instilled a love for theater and performing.
Fischer was a theatre actress trained in her native country. She starred in the Off-Broadway play Reasons to be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller. At the Old Globe Theatre's premiere, She starred opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
