Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to score a of 10 at the Olympic contest. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor, who was later Comaneci's coach who first came across Comaneci aged six. Comaneci competed for the first time at the national junior championships. She finished 13th. Following that, she became champion. At her first international contest in 1972, she won the event with three gold medals. When she competed for the first time as a senior, in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion, winning four gold medals and one silver. She was the first woman to do a reverse double salo on the parallel bar that was uneven in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began as an entertainment professional during her teenage years performing as an ice skating duo along with the sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol was a professional as an entertainer when she was a teenager. When she was a child, she began performing as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating that included theatrical performances.
