Richard B. Cheney has served as a public servant over a number of years, as well as an entrepreneur who has made a name for himself. The current position he holds is the Vice President of the United States. Cheney is a well-known figure on the Washington political scene, has served under several U.S. presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush. He will serve as the fourth vice president, and is an elected representative. Bush chose Cheney to be his vice-presidential running mate in July 2000 citing Cheney's insight judgment and experience. Dick Cheney, who served the United States as Secretary and Chief of Staff during the presidency and also during Congress is a tremendous service to the nation. Republicans as well as Democrats alike respect Cheney for his honesty. Cheney believes that his job in the Bush administration is to be an honest and discreet advisor. Cheney accepted his appointment as Republican vice president that he hopes to be a president candidate who will work cross-partisan and to collaborate with their political adversaries with good will and for a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old Richard and his family relocated across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper where his dad was the head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservation district.
